16-Pulmonary nodules

1-Definition:

Is a rounded or oval pulmonary shadow with well defined edge and has a size less than 3 cms in diameter as seen in the following image.


Causes:
-Bronchogenic carcinoma.
-Metastases.
-Tuberculoma.
-Hamartoma.
-Arteriovenous malformation.
-Hydatid cyst.
-Sarcoid.
-Lymphangitic carcinomatosis.
