Summary of Ca scoring

Ca score 0:

-Minimal risk.
-Risk of occurence of cardiac event is less than 5% within the next 10 years.
-Reassure patient.
-Repeat examination not more than 5 years.

Ca score 1-80:

-Mild cardiac event risk.
-Doctor try to modify risk factors.
- Repeat examination 2 to 5 years.

Ca score 81-400:

-Moderate cardiac event risk.
-Modify risk factors and lowering LDL cholesterol level less than 100 mg.
- Repeat examination 1 to 2 years.

Ca score more than 400:

-High risk group.
-More than 90% of patients with this score having at least one significantly obstructed coronary vessel by more than 70% obstruction.
-Risk of having annual cardiac event is about 5%.
-Repeat examination annually.
- Urgent cardiology referent.

Ca score more than 1000:

-Super high group.
-Annual cardiac event rate 20-25%.
-Urgent cardiology referent.
