Cavitating pulmonary nodules

Causes of cavitating pulmonary nodules:

-Wagner's granulomatosis(the most common cause).

-Septic emboli.

-Metastases.

Cavitating pulmonary nodules could be added to the list of the pulmonary nodules.

Describe these lesions as cavities and cysts, remember that cystic diseases of the lung cannot be seen by chest x-ray
