7-1-1-Mediastinal hernia

-We have three types of mediastinal hernia.
1-Morgagni hernia present in the anterior mediastinum, and is seen in the right side in frontal radiograph.
2-Bokdalek hernia present in the posterior mediastinum, and seen in the left side of frontal radiograph.
3-Hiatus hernia present in the middle mediastinum, and seen in the midline in the anterior radiograph.

-Morgagni hernia:
Abdominal content is seen in the thorax anterior to the liver and to the right.



-Bokdalec hernia:
Present posterior and to the left.



-Hiatus hernia:
 Here you find the stomach present in the thorax beside the aorta.
