Soft Tissues and Skeletal Structures

There is some overlap with the previous section, but now focus your attention on specific areas. Teach yourself to concentrate on one thing at a time and ignore everything else on the film. Most radiologists have mental checklists of specific things they look for in each region. Practice that technique until it is automatic. We will begin on the frontal view with the left shoulder girdle, follow with the left chest wall, the abdomen, right chest wall, right shoulder girdle, neck, and finish with spine and ribs. On the lateral view, the sternum, spine, and abdomen are examined.
