Pediatric focal lung diseases

Can be classified into
1-Nodules:
-Is a well defined rounded or oval lesion less than 3 cm in diameter.
2-Masses:
-Is a well defined lesion more than 3 cm in diameter.
3-Patches:
-Is an ill defined lesion with presence of air bronchogram(presence of air inside bronchi within consolidated  lung).
4-Cavities:
-Is a pulmonary lesion present in the lung, full with air, or part of it containing air and the other part containing a mass or fluid.
